Numerous comments on my articles indicate that many aspiring writers still grapple with the challenge of making their initial earnings on the internet. Whether you're facing difficulty in reaching your first $1000 milestone, this article is tailored to address your concerns.

"Financial success in writing comes when your workflow is flawless."

So, how exactly can you start making money through writing? Let me provide you with some straightforward steps. Commit to following these steps for the next 90 days, and witness the results firsthand.

A 90-Day Game Plan for Writers and Freelancers:

Find Your Niche: I've emphasized this repeatedly, but it's crucial. If you're struggling to pinpoint your niche, create a list of three interconnected areas of interest, and then focus on one primary niche. If you're unsatisfied, you can explore additional niches and micro-niches later.

Choose a Name: Opt for a pen name if you don't already have a brand under your real name. Make sure your chosen name reflects your niche. Consider creating a fresh and distinctive pen name. Interestingly, in my experience from nine years ago, over 70% of successful writers I encountered used pen names. You can choose anything you like or stick with your real name, but maintain consistency.

Amazon KDP: Create an account on Amazon KDP and aim to write one short book (ranging from 15k to 20k words) per month. Quality is key, as it encourages repeat customers. Publish all your books under the same chosen pen name.

Choose a Platform: For writers, platforms like Medium and Twitter work exceptionally well. Reddit can also be effective. Ensure that your username remains consistent across these platforms.

Consistency and Engagement: Maintain a consistent presence and strive to gain 1,000 followers or accumulate 300 karma points, depending on the platform's requirements. High-quality content will naturally attract followers.

Link Your KDP Account: Connect your Amazon KDP account to your Author Central Account. This centralizes all your self-published books under your chosen pen name.

This connection will drive traffic to your books on Amazon KDP, which boasts a high conversion rate. Over time, you'll witness increasing sales, contingent on the quality of your books, their covers, and your book descriptions.

Does this strategy work?

I've personally implemented it twice. I've also assisted my part-time siblings with their digital product endeavors on various marketplaces. One of them prefers not to use Amazon KDP, so I've helped them sell digital products directly through their website. For swift income, Amazon KDP is an excellent choice, while for long-term gains, consider direct sales.

Commit to this strategy for three months, and you'll see the results for yourself!
