ELIGIBILITY FOR CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

To be eligible for Chevening scholarships, you must meet these requirements :

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory (see list below).
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended.
  • Having a bachelor degree or its equivalent in your origin country.
  • Have at least two years, or at least 2,800 hours, of work experience.
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 14 July 2023.

The types of work experience that are eligible for Chevening can include:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Part-time employment.
  • Voluntary work.
  • Paid or unpaid internships.

Your gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, marriage or parenthood status, caste, class, or other attributes do not matter for this program.

BENEFITS OF THE CHEVENING SCHOLRSHIPS

Award recipients receive:

  • Tuition fees.
  • A monthly living allowance.
  • An economy class return airfare to the UK.
  • Additional grants and allowances to cover essential expenditure.

ELIGIBLE COURSES

You will need to select three different master’s courses. These can be three different courses at the same institution, or three similar courses at up to three different universities.

HOW TO APPLY FOR CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS ?

You will need to apply separately for your course via the university that runs the course. Your Chevening application does not constitute an application to your chosen courses.
