Boss of Bayelsa Sanitation sags and passes away
Tolu Amatu, the CEO of the Bayelsa Environmental Sanitation Authority,
Amatu, a former candidate for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency seat, was found collapsed in his home in Bay Bridge, Kpansia, Yenagoa on September 11 and passed away before being taken to the hospital, according to The Sun.
Investigations indicate that the politician who oversaw the Ekeremor Local Government Council while former governor Henry Seriake Dickson was in office experienced severe leg pain on Friday, September 9, and took medication to ease the discomfort.
According to family members, he reported severe stomach aches and no bowel movement on Saturday, September 10. According to a family source, he was told to take oranges, which he did, but nothing changed. The family source continued, saying that after getting some rest, he went to his hotel across from Otiotio Road, where he allegedly paid his employees and socialized with guests before returning home.
He apparently fell on Sunday morning and was taken to a hospital on Saptex Road, where he was later declared dead.
