Troops thwart another suicide bomb assault on Bakassi IDP camp in Maiduguri

At around 9.00am early today, troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE conveyed behind Bakassi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, Damboa street, Maiduguri, on security obligation, blocked and killed a male suicide aircraft who had endeavored to sneak through the troops' inward parapet towards the IDP camp.
The watchful sentry located the plane and laid in hold up until the suicide aircraft approached. The expert marksman in a split second shot and killed the fear based oppressors as he attempted to compel his way toward the western flank of the IDP camp fence.
Sadly, the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) vest strapped on the plane neglected to explode. Subsequently, a consolidated group of military and police Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) have been called to securely explode the IED.
The circumstance at the camp and the general territory is quiet.
