ICPC responds to the reported sack of its Chairman, Ekpo Nta by President Buhari 

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission, ICPC has denied accepting any letter from the Federal Government educating its Chairman, Ekpo Nta to continue on necessary leave starting from today, October 26th. 

The following is an announcement marked by the Commissioner, Public Enlightenment and Spokesperson for the Commission, Edet Ufot and dated October 26th: 

"The consideration of the Management of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) has been attracted to the report of above title in the Vanguard daily paper of 26th October, 2016 created by one Ben Agande and repeated under various titles by some other on the web and conventional productions. 

The report implies that ICPC is in receipt of a letter from the workplace of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, illuminating the Chairman, Mr. Ekpo Nta, "to continue on obligatory leave starting from today, October 26". It goes further to attribute saw purposes behind the affirmed "sack" of the Chairman while citing a mysterious "ICPC source". No such letter or letters have been gotten in the Commission. 

ICPC has conveyed this matter to the consideration of the important powers for suitable activity.
